Dr. Kristina Hicks
Dr. Kristina Hicks is a bay area native who resides in San Francisco. Dr. Hick’s love for animals began at a young age when she read the story of ‘Dog Who Rescues Cats, The True Story of Ginny’. Her passion for veterinary medicine grew after her first pitbull mix (Angel) and two guinea pigs (Fluffy and Puffy) joined the family. She completed her B.S. at the University of California, Davis where she spent most of her time working with wildlife, birds of prey, and fostering puppies. After college, she moved to Philadelphia to pursue a masters degree focusing on small and large animals. During her studies at Drexel University, she was awarded the J.J. Noonan scholarship for merit and achievement. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences, focusing on small animal medicine. Dr. Hicks has a special interest in building strong client relationships, geriatric pets, and surgery. When she’s not working with the Wagly pack, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, traveling, and exploring new places to eat with her husband, German shepherd and foster pets.

Jenna grew up in the Bay Area and spent her childhood begging her parents for a dog (she was eventually successful!). Jenna attended UC Davis for degrees in Animal Science & Agricultural Education, during which she apprenticed for a dog trainer. Her previous experience also includes being a dog daycare handler, off-leash dog hiker, dog chauffeur driver, team leader, and manager of other daycare/boarding facilities. Her personal animal pack currently consists of 3 dogs (a mixed breed, a lab, & a pug), a cat, and a guinea pig. She spends her free time with family and friends, and enjoys taking endless pictures of her dogs cuddling with their cat.
Anita has been a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) since 2007. Additionally, she also holds her Pharmacy Technician’s license in the state of California. She has been with Wagly since the start of the Blossom Hill location. She is very passionate about animals, and genuinely cares about her patients and their families.
Other interests include helping to advance the careers of Technicians in practice. To aid in this goal, she became a Director on the board of the California Registered Veterinary Technician Association. Another of her goals that she is currently working towards, is to obtain a VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialty) in Clinical Practice.
When the opportunity presents itself, she likes to crochet, knit, quill, or do really any crafty type of thing. She lives in San Jose with her husband Tek, sweet tripod kitten named Tisbut, and the cutest dog ever, Kusse.
Mariella is a San Jose native who graduated from UC Davis with a Psychology degree. While there, she worked guest services at the Campus Store. While at Wagly, she is able to combine her love for dogs and experience in customer service together. She has a 9-year-old dog named Nara who lives the life of napping all day long in her comfy pajamas. During her free time, Mariella enjoys hanging out with family and friends, staying active, exploring new places, and cuddling with her dog.
