Dogs and cats can develop a cardiac disease similar to, and also very different from, humans. They can have congenital abnormalities that they are born with, or develop diseases like heart murmurs or congestive heart failure. Our veterinarians understand that your pet is a member of the family and the importance of keeping them healthy for as long as possible.
However, often it is difficult to evaluate our companion pet’s heart function with just visual observations. The veterinarians at Wagly are highly trained to detect abnormalities in cardiovascular function by pairing their cardiac auscultation skills with our advanced diagnostic imaging such as digital radiographs and ultrasound (echocardiogram-usually performed by a specialist brought in so all diagnostics can be done in house!).
If you have noticed that your pet exhibits symptoms of exercise intolerance, coughing, or any other clinical signs that is out of the ordinary, please contact us for the next available appointment.
